XBOX vs PS3

For me it's the ps3.
for the Bluray player and to connect to my pc with the media server.
-So true but why use a console to play BR movies, your just damaging your laser, sure Sony said its a media center but I doubt you wanna pay R1700 when the thing finnaly gives in... I would know.

Buy the cheapest ps3 with the smallest hdd.
then just buy a 500gb laptop drive and swop the drives
-that will sit you back at least R600. Why need all that space anyways if you arent gonna put movies on it, its not like you install your whole PS3 disc per game on the HDDD to have soo much space, 250GB is enough for ANY GAMER

was just saying get the cheapest and if you need the space add the hdd later.

As far as I know Xbox you have to buy all the add ons wireless, Hdd
-Half true, HDD and headsets are sold separate. But only with the 4GB version, wifi is built in standard now in ALL new slim versions.

Most games these days are being produced on all platforms.
From what I noticed the xbox games drop quicker in price than the PS3.

True, but there are exclusives on each platform that make them worth owning, not to mention the fact that some titles are just better on some platforms.
 
@Dryes Depends on what specials BT games have I guess?
 
Ag let him go demo both and then decide for himself :D

Should also keep in mind Kinect vs. Move if he's that way inclined.

why bt games? they suck, will rather support other companies, use them only when they are the cheapest/best option.
 
Get both. There are excellent exclusives on both and there are benefits to both.
 
I just buy at BT games or Zaps... Sooo 6yeah dont know of any other places that have specials worth mentioning or that they have stock when you arrive there... IM LOOKING AT YOU INCREDIBLE CORRUPTION!

you can get some nice deals on take2 and even kalahari, i have found many gems on the cheap at take2.
 
@Zyraz from time to time on OOOOOOLD titles I mean like launch titles old

I picked up a PS3 at Rage. From someone that used to be a die hard PC gamer I couldn't be happier. Even though I have a 360 controller for my PC I feel the PS3 controller feels more like "Home".

Take2 and Kalahari both have Blu-ray movies for insanely cheap now.

Since you have a PC I'd actually say the PS3 is the better choice. The xbox and PC have very similar games while the PS3 has more Japanese style games.

If you were talking about the original SIXAXIS I'd tend to agree with you. The Dual Shock 3 controller though is a lot more meaty and manly.

is there a difference :confused: ...thought there was no difference from ps1 ....i like the way the buttons are set up on xbox ...you have freedom with your thumbs

More specifically the left thumb. The left analogue stick is almost always used in a game, and with the Xbox controller you don't have to stretch your left thumb to get to the analogue stick while also trying to use the left triggers.
