Its funny how quickly one moves into that "old school" bracket
Wing Commander is a game I never played and after reading how it spawned 'spin offs', I do regret that....

Got the origionals for WC3 kicking around somewhere, remember was the first time I learnt the true importance of RAM, mates machine had 8Mb and we upgraded to 16Mb ( 486 dx2-66 ), level load times went from 5 MINUTES to 20 seconds.

As a kid, I remember WC4, damn that was blockbuster stuff at the time, spend many a day jamming that game.

The down part of working for myself, is that simple little rule: "No work = No Pay"
But I can live with that, not really busy on Friday's in any case.

hmmm well i've been gaming since the late 80's started off with a commodore 64 :}
the good old days ... had a 386dx2 i think it was with 2MB ( 4 X 512k sims) and played all the wing commanders from there
on.

My "gaming monster" machine, as a little omelette, used to be a 486 dx2 66.
The only thing that kept that comper together was the dust, but hell, it was a machine and a half in those days.

This is just freakin great!!
Guess who's pc bombed out last night at 10.
Now, I am sitting with 2 blown GPU's, one fooked mobo, possible fooked hdd and maybe a faulty psu as well.
Why now, why not last week?!?!
