So yesterday I went to Makro and got myself a Xiaomi Mi Note 3 32Gb memory with 3gb ram. firstly it feels bulky but for that price of R3259 I guess it is worth it. It heats up when charging, I like the dual sim, though my moded SIM/SD card is not working anymore I will have to re-mod it. I don't think I like MIUI i will miss emui from my lost P9 lite.

Any one who have Xiaomi?

Great phone for the price. I've never had mine heat up when charging, what are you using to charge it?

If you don't like Miui, you can install Nova launcher for a more typical Android feel.

That's the Redmi Note 3, and the buggers a month ago it was R3999 and they told me under no certain terms they'd drop the price. So i went with Takealot instead.

The heating issue happens to my Huawei P7 as well while charging. Might just be a cheap phone problem but I don't think it's anything to worry about. 2 years in and my phone hasn't exploded yet. *touch wood*

On another note, I'm a little torn between the Mi Note 3 and the Mi Max. What's the main difference/pros/cons other than that the Mi Max is supposedly ginormous?

No such phone out yet. :p

My vote was for Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. I can not see myself ever lugging a tablet around as a daily driver. I have a 7" Windows 10 tablet and the max is just a tad smaller than it.... for some reason my brain is going NOPE :D

Motherf*****.

I just used the phonearena size comparison tool to compare it to my Huawei P7. I did not realise that the phone was THAT big. The Max isn't a phone. It's a damn tablet!

Got the Note 3 from the eBucks website when it was on promo, was R3299.00 less 40% if you're on level 5. So it cost like just under 2k. Was quiet impressed so ended up getting another one for the wife. 32GB, dual SIM and excellent battery life made the changeover from my Samsung S5 a real no-brainer.
