I am monitoring, but battery life looks to be the same for me. I do miss the feature inside Security>Battery where it used to tell me how many hours the device has left until 0%. I have looked everywhere but can't find this. I see there is a battery temperature in there now which is of little to no use to me.

Settings -> Battery -> Power
And also
Settings -> Battery -> Battery Use -> top right corner

Aah, so USAGE TIME is time left...

When I first looked last night, the USAGE TIME tied up exactly with how long I had used the phone since unplugging from the charger, so I thought it was an UPTIME timer and not a countdown timer. If that makes sense.

I"ll be ordering my Xiaomi note 3 tomorrow from takealot, has 2gig ram though but should be good enough. Can the device only take up to 32GB SD card?

If you are referring to the Redmi Note 3, 2GB ram is plenty and it will take a 256GB microsd

Over 200Gig, that's awesome. Pity they can be quiet expensive. Guess I'll just order a 32gig for now

I ordered the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 on takealot today, should come Wednesday :)

I did see the Xiaomi 3s on takealot going for R2899 but I opted for the note 3 cause of the screen size and overall performance.

Anyways how's the note 3 so far guys?

Interesting find - quite a few home screen widgets require you to give the app startup permissions in Security to work properly. And I couldn't find a shortcut widget to specific Google Sheets I access regularly - but if you open the sheet, and go to options, you can add to home screen

Wait, you just bought a Xiaomi Note 3 off takelot? :( Shucks, I wasn't really following this thread, or else I could have helped out. I still have a brand new Xiaomi Note 3 lying in my closet that a bought a little while back. Want R3400 for it (yes, it's still sealed!), but naturally the R1899 special meant that those who wanted one could get one for a price less than what I was willing to sell for.

Apparently there are some fake Xiaomi phones on aliexpress and other Chinese sites... So I guess it's tricky... Some order directly from xiaomi I guess.
