Xiaomi Note 3 now R1899

This is really frustrating, after waiting for like a week, I'm told they don't have stock anymore (takealot). Even though when I ordered, there was stock available. :mad:

I saw the Redmi 2 (not the Note) was on Takealot's Daily Deals special yesterday. Maybe ask them if you can have it at the daily deal price since they f-ed you around
 
I want the note 3 though, they really f'd up... I've been waiting patiently for this only to be told they don't have stock.

Makro and Incredible connection (the branches in my area) doesn't have stock yet.... So thought I could get it this weekend if takealot refunds me today

Maybe I should just order it online delivery from any makro or incredible branch if I'm unable to get it from a store

Have you checked with Game and Dion Wired for the Redmi Note 3?
 
Dion wired only shows note 2, Game doesn't have anything really on their site.

They also don't have stock. This phone is hard to get hey :/

I'm going next weekend to the stores, if nothing then will just attempt another online order at incredible or makro

Why don't you just buy it from Gearbest, $ 139.89 for the 16 GB and $ 169.89 for the 32 GB. I ordered a new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 PRO 4GB RAM, 64 GB ROM from them last week for $ 217.89.

Just make sure you ask for the shipping by FedEx Expedited and insured. It should be here in 7 days, and you will have peace of mind as the SA post office will not be involved in the equation.

Interesting. I'm just wondering if we might see the Redmi Note 4 soon hence the no stock.
 
So my phone dropped out of my pocket. Not very high as I was seated, but about 40cm-50cm drop onto tiles. No damage.
 
Anybody have any links to local sites with stock of covers. China Mall in Durban have nothing
 
Can someone please confirm the price of this, I saw the phone for $174 (R2405) with Shipping DHL will come to a total of R2778.

How much do you guys think custom etc will be because Im sure R2778 won't be the final price.

Smartphone imports in SA: what you should know

In your case you're looking at around R3400-3500.
Maybe things have changed since 2014, not sure...
