Attention all - I m with a Yacklick provider in Dubai and it s a big rip off. They put a cap on your monthly data usage and the cap / limit is more or less reach once you have watched a movie on netflix or have been on the net for a couple of hours over a day or two. They ask me to buy a recharge "token" now so that I can reset the cap, each token is approx 25 $ (of course you can buy as many as you want). I have a 40 GB monthly data allowance, my cap is reached after using 4 GB within 72 hrs, make the numbers -- after charging me nearly 1300 US$ for a 6 month contract. Now that I want to terminate the subscription they are charging me 400 $ for the installation, 500 $ for the hardware and one month subscription another 200 $. So I ll get back approx 200 US ! Lost 1100 $. I dont know if these conditions apply in other countries but be aware. By the way: No VPN as the hardware doesn t work with any router which uses a VPN and the speed after the cap has been reached is 40 kb / s !!!!!

You sound like a disgruntled user that did not do your homework properly. All reasonably priced satellite services have some kind of a cap on them. The last few satellite services I looked into all used some kind of a capping/token system as you are complaining about. Tunnel based VPNs will work with YahClick, but is usually not recommended over any satellite connection in any case due to the latency.

After spending 2 minutes looking at the http://www.yahsat.com site my suspicions are confirmed. You signed up for a product that uses a rolling cap. So after using 10% of your monthly allowance within 72 hours they are within their contracted rights to throttle your speed. I am willing to bet that everything you are complaining about is clearly set out in either the terms and conditions or mentioned on the website/product offering pages.
