Unfortunately yes. I hope a proper heatsink will do. For my type of projects low power consumption is important.Active cooling is a given for the Pi 4

Check peltier eliment and heatsink systems for cooling.Ditto. Part of the reason I'm keen on using Pis in many scenarios is lack of fan noise.
Get a good book. Learn python. There are, the key is to start with more basic things first and the to build up to the more ambitious ones.
I agree with you about the coding, some of the code the guys post make my atrocious code look good! And sometimes I wonder if their project ever worked at all.
Many of my projects have been made from stuff that broke that I dismantled, but when I decide to buy something I make sure to have 3 or more different tutorials using the same thing to have some options.
Any abnormal fan noise level noted?Just arrived! Built quality looks good!

You can hear it in a quiet room. Nothing too irritating though.Any abnormal fan noise level noted?
Well I use my pi as a HTPC so I suppose it won't bother me as I won't hear it over my surround soundYou can hear it in a quiet room. Nothing too irritating though.
pcbway. It's $5 for 10 boards, and $8 to ship (to UK)
This is encouraging as I have a bunch of pcb's for the O2 headphone amp that I had printed by them. Still need to complete that specific project though.I have found jlcpcb.com to be very good.
Managed to get Mycroft AI going.
i.e. A DIY Alexa
Not quite on the same level in terms of polish, but not as bad as expected either. Can def see myself using this for home automation tasks.
Have you tried any of the other Pi AI assistants? I've definitely heard of at least one other, although I don't remember the name.Managed to get Mycroft AI going.

Pi 4?I setup Recalbox on my Pi yesterday. Linked both my PS3 controllers. Works like a charm. Able to play ps 1 games no problems. Temp according to the portal is around 75C. Not too bad.
No Pi 3.Pi 4?
Nice. May try that on my Pi 3 soon.No Pi 3.
