ZA Bitcoin Mining Pool

Also the computations serve no other purpose then making the coins, which in my mind is a real waste. So all that extra wear and tear for a virtual number thats worth around R35 a day.......no thank you!
Least folding you get a sense of something.

You do realize that 1 bitcoin is worth $ 17.00 and you can convert it into cash or buy online.

Current market is a bidding price of $12, one of the poor markets is even as low as $0.4.
And the converting to cash/paypal they charge a bit, think someone worked it out to over 20%.

All the computations performed help verify the transactions and make the network more secure.

Well then moose,

Go and play wow and earn your money. Stop bitching about something you know absolutely NOTHING about. I bet your ten minute lookup research you did on the internet about bitcoins made you realize just what a big moron you are.

sensitive hey ;) good luck with your bitcoins,I hope they make you rich.

Hope you dint invest too much money into it though.

I'll join.. but at the moment I am using Slushes Pool as well.

If I do mine for this new site, I'll be doing around 1.2gb hash/s. I don't want to wait forever to get paid out =/

yeah sure, how do I convert it to cash?

the only way a bitcoin has value to me is if it is given to me or mined for free.

Yup your are right this is total BS, now go away because the less miners the more money for us :D. W00t w00t

Besides the nice thing about this is even if it does not work we still have kick ass gpu's for bf 3 :D

I started to mine last week Saturday and have 2x BHC's so far. Not much but a start nonetheless.
My 6990 is arriving Monday that'll add another 700HM/s to the 800 I have so far.
I've just moved over to Slush's Pool (from BitcoinPool).

BTW, Landmark Computers accepts Bitcoins, albeit only to the value of R2K per order. Again, a start but good to see an SA company taking some initiative.

It would help to add some of that to the pool, that will enable it to mine coins faster and get payouts faster.

For sure. But at the moment, I'd be doing half the work if I had to join right now.

Guys i need a bit of info and perhaps this is the wrong place but anyhoo.

I have a 6970 and i want to add a 6990. Could i have a 6990 running on one mobo alongside a 6970?

That would be 3 6970's then basically right?

Kuga,

You do not have to set all your hashing power to this pool, run two instances of the miner one at zabitcoin and the other at deepbit or somewhere else.
