DStv On Demand avaialble on more ISPs

HD please. stop the SD substandard service. if need example go www.abc.com and look how it could start off with.

Still confused about this. Do you need to be a DSTV subscriber to access these services or just an ISP subscriber?

Both! You need dstv premium + ISP + loads of bandwidth i'd assume

Yes, you need to be a dstv premium (full package) sub to be able to access this service afaik.

I just don’t understand the logic of this offering (especially or those on uncapped accounts with 1 concurrent connection).

If I am at home, I will just watch DSTV. If I am not at home, my connection will be up at home and I won’t be able to use the service elsewhere. Is there something obvious I am missing?

People who miss programs/movies who have premium subscription but don’t have pvr to record it can catch up on their pcs at home

Sadly I can't afford both reasonable internet (4mb adsl + 25gb bandwidth/uncapped) and DSTV. Not that I could convince my complex to put up HD PVR capable dishes anyway :-(

Now if DSTV would sell the service stand alone for say R300 and make a deal with my ISP (webafrica) for the bandwidth to be unmetered that would be awesome and likely profitable.

I use it sometimes and on a 384 line it downloads pretty quick.

ah yes. didn't think about the segment without PVRs

It also happens that a PVR/ VOD does miss a recording. I think that the more people that use this the more content they will add.
