@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

Yeah @lantic does sadly not have a usenet server cause they run on their own network so IS news server won't work.

If you looking for a really cheap but very good usenet server I can suggest this http://en.sunnyusenet.com/

Awesome! Thanx! Credit card safe to use on there?

Well I am using my credit card there and its not been compromised and I'm using the for some time now.
I always use https://www.vcpay.co.za/ on dodge international sites so you could do the same for security if you want. Works nice.

what's the difference between ^^ and something like NextGenNews?

Well I think only price. No real difference. Nextgen is actually very good but slightly more expensive. I would always go for a usenet server based in the EU. These US usenet server get dmca takedowns super fast.

Ta - NGN recently adjusted their block account pricing - very well priced now imo

Is the bolt-on really unshaped? Tried to stream that stupid stormers game in sd and it buffered every 30 seconds. Added to the frustration. 4mb line.

Yes it is. I would not go by supersport cause their streaming seems bugged. If you have buffering issues on other sites like youtube, netflix, hulu, twitch.tv ect ect then yes there might be a problem.

I get buffering on supersport no matter what isp I use.

For some reason I've been buffering like crazy tonight on Netflix and Hulu. Even email seems to drop connection constantly O_o Only been giving issues since about 10pm. Been streaming all weekend without hassle though, first real issues I've picked up since signing up a couple of weeks ago.

I guess that's why you don't talk about Fight Club?

Would a 75GB Fat pipe account be enough for gaming/streaming for a whole month? Will download files/games etc. after 6am/during the night.

Been getting disconnects since I got home. Anybody else? Restart router works again. Stops again. Rinse repeat. Driving me crazy.

..internet connection dropping out every day/night, sometimes 2 to 3 times per day..

I've had same scenario for many weeks, especially since the upgrade to 2Mbps. As I also have @lantic / Vox login details in my router, wrote to them about it on 30th Jan. An agent phoned to advise it was Telkom, and gave me an e.g. of a client in another province that the same thing was happening to, possibly due to distance from the exchange or maybe allied reason I don't remember now.

At the time I put it down to much the same thing, as my Attenuation (Down) is & always has been high at 54 + I believe I'm close to 5kms away from the exchange. Contacted Telkom & couldn't get anywhere with them - after a while, they don't bother even giving feedback to requests to, eg. being moved to another exchange, so I've accepted having to re-boot router a few times a day.

If I switch on router first, then PC, sometimes the PC starting up disconnects the router & it restarts on its own ; often when it boots up, "internet" light goes to red & stays there permanently, until I try another reboot, sometimes two or three one after the other. Other times it'll be on for hours, and suddenly "internet" light will simply go to red.

Don't know who's to blame - all I know is this never used to happen when we were on blazing-fast 384kbps, then on 1Mpbs - only started since upgrades to 2Mpbs, so we'd need someone with insight as to what's going on a Telkom, or perhaps VOX, as ISP ?

Pisses me off as well, I'm afraid.

Here's where I first mentioned it :

By the way, I'm sure I've not been moved to a different exchange, as Attenuation still exactly the same.

This never happened before. Line has been perfect. So there default response better not be Telkom. Although they closed my call without any input from me so that pi$$es me off. Gonna tap the poor face on that survey. I sent the mail. Got an auto response then waited. Finished what I was watching and went to bed. Thus morning I see they responded past midnight. But then a couple of hours later closed the damn call. :wtf:

Not cool. When I woke up thus morning sabnzb was paused already but all other protocols was working. I'm gonna give that dude a crappy feedback score. How can you close a call without client feedback? Complete BS.

What leads me to think Telkom's at fault is the fact that I've other ISPs I connect to during the day & night, and still get disconnects when connected to any of these other ISPs, which must be over-riding the @lantic / VOX one.

Could still be Telkom ; I'm sure there can be many possible reasons why, but until a Co. owns up & gives feedback as to why, we'll just be in the dark.
