@Cell_C: Currently the *101# balance shows a single balance, e.g. 204800MB remaining.
Could you please change this so that the daytime and night time balances are show separately?
e.g. 51200MB anytime, 153600MB giganite.

Would agree with that, although I have not been able to get one of those sims as yet.

Does it show the expiry date ?

That is a good idea. I could also not register either of my giga 200 sim cards on the CellC website to check my data balance online.

Why Cell C why?

I have the Giga 20 contract for R189 and it seems as if I can't have separate remaining data balance. The OOB shark albeit at 15c is has bitten me. When I checked my balance it showed 20GB but not separating the peak and off-peak data. Any solution in sight from Cell C? I want to be able to tell how much peak and off-peak data do I have. Thanks

Yikes, it is imperative to show you the balances in each section. I'd hold them accountable for your loss due to their system problem.

Hi guys,

Please try using *147# this platform works.

Regards,
CellC|TM

@Cell_C:

How do you do the *147# on an iPad? I tried the other way, going into Settings > Cellular Data > Products/Services > Balance Enquiry, but that does not work...

Thanks...

Cell C also has the MyTools smartphone app which you can install on your phone, which will allow you access to your account, balances, voicemail, etc. Unfortunately it is not yet available to iOS. In the meantime, you could access the MyTools web portal from the website (use the same link above).

Cell C - Giganite Contract - How to determine gigs left on Day / Night seperately

When I go to my Cell C Interface - I go to Services - Balance Enquire.
I get the message e.g. My Balance : 1234.56 MB

This is of little use to me. How do I determine which portion is Daytime MB's?
When I do a balance enquiry on 8ta, I get 2x SMS, e.g.
If I have 600 MB left in total
You have 500 MB available. 500 MB will expire on 01/05/2013.
You have 100 MB of night surfer data available. 100 MB will expire on 01/05/2013.

Is this possible with cell c?

When you use the balance enquire feature in the Cell C interface, it sends the *101# USSD command.

From Cell_C's previous post in this tread, I believe they are working to get this fixed.
In the meantime, you can send *147# for the Customer Menu, then 2 for Balance, then 4 for Data Balance.

thank you!!
great stuff, this is perfect
thanks mods for moving the thread (thumbs up)

@ Cell C Rep, why can you not read straight the remaining Data available for day and night on this offer, when you check it in your Cell C software , using the account option. It only shows the total amount still available. It seems you have to put the Giga 200 SIM in a cell and dial *140# to obtain split data info.
By the way , great value for money, Cell C !!

They are working on it:

But you should be able to use *147# for now.
