Gadget specials this weekend (19 - 21 April 2013)

Makro have the AppleTV for R999 atm... so considerably cheaper than Takealot.

game also have 3.5'' 2TB for 849, i bought the same external for 799 two weeks back, so they are still keeping the good prices

Purchased a SamSung Smart TV, 3D, FULL HD 46' for R6500.

Makro Alberton opening specials

http://www.makro.co.za/makro-alberton/

Nothing great didn't notice any good deals.

Also another opening deal.

Thanks for the link but yes nothing so great really like R500 saving of a 40 inchsony full hd led, which is not worth those huge queues......the hi fi corp opening sale in southgate was way better they had 32 inch samsung led tv's for R1999 and 40 inch samsung led for R3999 that was a year ago and makro cant match it with the opening specials today where tv prices have come down.Weak.

Where did you get your 46inch 3d smart led at that price?

What a coincidence, bought two items on that list.

The 1TB and the Prestigio, hopefully the Prestigio is decent.

%$#!! I just dropped R1200 at Incredible for that exact drive this weekend. Merde. That's R500 more. $#@%@!!

Be wary of Kalahari and the Prestigio tablet.

Ordered one because it was on special, got it today and it failed straight out of the box.

Then Kalahari wants to take forever to pick it up, send it in for a week to inspect it then take forever to send a replacement. In my opinion an out-of-box dud should be sorted out within a day or two.

Kalahari has really disappointed me with this "special" (Getting rid of shoddy stock are we Kalahari?).

Kalahari is not a computer company so it does make sense that they would send it to a third party for out of box failure confirmation.

Now if you bought directly from Dell/HP/etc that would be a different story.

I understand that, except it takes almost 2 weeks or longer for something that failed out the box?

In the meantime you wait, and after 2 weeks they realise it is buggered, you don't want it fixed you want a replacement except by then it's sold out (as is the case with this tablet) and cannot replace it any more.
