Would be nice to state location.

I do. Full strength signal but less than 70kbps download speeds and pings of 600ms and above. According to the MTN website's coverage map my location has 3G up to 21Mbps..... false info it seems.

Quite disappointed - my first exposure to MTN and not a very good one.

Why is the Afrihost modem so slow can barely get 1 Meg but look when I use a Huawei E372 DC-HSPA+ modem what speed I get:

Antenna orientation? Did you use both devices in more or less the same position/orientation?
