TELKOM is on its deathbed

I wouldn't give up on Telkom just yet, I have said it before and I'll say it again, it can be saved, it just needs to start doing things RIGHT! :D

@gdiza. There was a time when that was possible. However Telkom's Management screwed up royally.
 
Telkom will survive and probably thrive. Telkom is following other world telecom leaders business models such at Telstra and BT, and those companies are doing well. Remember also that Telkom has billions of rand and a 50% stake in Vodacom. With that kind of money you cannot help but make a success. I think a good leader will be key, as well as getting with the times and quickly.

I will spare the same amount of thought Telkom gave my 22 employees who lost their jobs when in 1999 Telkom with the goverment extended their monopoly for an additional 5 years without any consultation of the 4 companies (including AT&T) who were ready to jump into the telecoms market.
 
Its so refreshing to get some positive news on this forum! LOVE IT!

But I also believe that Telkom will come around under better management - by this i hope that this "better management" will make right what Telkom has done SO wrong!
 
um, I don't want Telkom to die quickly and completely until another viable provider is in place, and Neotel is far from ready yet. Even though I do hate Telkom as much as any other red-blooded human being (it's natural), I do also love my ADSL and don't want to lose it if Telkom goes under. I think the talk of death is probably a bit premature though! ;) It's going to be months or years before we see the last of those ridiculous blue and green dots. :sick:
