Yo dawg! We herd you like multi-million rand bonuses, so we stole from yo customers so yo can draw a multi-million rand bonus while yo draw a multi-million rand salary.

Yeah, it's so easy, we should all be doing it. Just need to start a company, get investors, list it, expand internationally, grow exponentially, and earn tens of billions of rands, all the while fanny-ing about and talking BS in meetings. Simple, really. What a life.

13 million more reasons to hate the suits.

How much farking money do these idiots want? What do they do with it?

Must be rewarding looking out over a dying nation, with a smug smirk on his face, knowing that hes raped it f#$%ed, no better than the old rascist apartheid cockjockeys

;);):) Well said.

Laughing all the way to the bank

Salaries and bonuses of this kind ae sickening. There is absolutely no way that these people (including the likes of Reuben September at Telkom who was paid R11 million last year) are worth this kind of money. Like the rest of the world, top management salaries and bonuses need to be cut to realistic levels. How do they sleep at night? A bunch of blood-sucking vampires.

Not bad, hes doing well for himself and the company!;)

Hell but there are a lot of bitter people here, tell me if you where in his position and earning that type of money would you be complaining ? Probably not but then you won't admit it anyway. Its easy the harder you work the more money you get paid it's a fact of life and it is what makes people successful. Otherwise whats the point of working harder than the next person?

Exactly! And to be fair, compared to other CEOs 13 mill is not that much...
Edcons CEO takes more than a 100mil!

They make strategic decisions, like deciding which markets to enter, which products to sell, etc etc.
Making wrong ones can cost 100s of millions or billions, so 13 million is a small price to pay for that.

I just wonder if this guys have an charities they support

Mercedes Benz & Aston Martin. :)

Thats not fair, i remember not so long ago when they set up an auction to spend a day with an influential african leader in the business sector, Phuhuma was one of them, was supporting the Mastercard Priceless moments charity event, proceeds went to various organizations.

He made it to the top through hard work and determination, you can too if you set your mind to.

PS before anyone thinks about playing an affirmative race card into this equation just remember that Rob Nisbet is a white guy;)

Which ANC officials to bribe to ensure correct spectrum, periods of exclusivity, etc (face it the lack of competition and DOC/ICASA involvement allowed these companies to continue with their cartels).

When they say that bandwidth cost is only a small portion of the total cost of providing broadband they most probably factored in these million rand bonuses and share options.

When the workers want to strike for a 15% (EXAMPLE) increase they have factored in the million rand increases (25% +) of top management.
