“For the past few years we have been aligning our prices to be more competitive and in line with international standards, related costs as well as business and economic considerations. Having complied with regulatory prescriptions, Telkom is confident that our proposed price changes will be approved by ICASA,” said Telkom’s Group Executive for National Sales and Marketing Operations, Godfrey Ntoele.
Is that meant to be a joke?
How the heck can they call themselves competitive according to international standards? :erm:
A simple glance at google will see that they are not even close!

Bleddy hell, these people really think we're a bunch of sods.
Also the pricing is nothing to rave about - A GB here and 2GB there.
Still having to cough up money for the POTS line.
Where is your competitive nature there Telkom?
Do you still not have the ability to differentiate between the two?
A 1.7% increase means a helluva lot across all of their consumer base.
But I suppose they have to.
Seeing that they're slowly being killed off.
The sale of their Vodacom stake, the failed Telkom Media attempt, the exploration into 3G which is now costing a hefty amount coupled with people becoming educated and leaving them for other Internet Service Providers.
Yes, they need to keep their stakeholders - OUR GOVERMENT - happy and continue ripping us off.
Once again - thanks for the annual disappointment Telkom

You're still keeping it real
PS! I've decided to no longer substitute the word "Telkom" with "Telscum" as I want everyone that Googles the word "Telkom" to be redirected to this site so they can hopefully have their eyes opened and see what's been going on here for the last 30 years in this country.
