there are a number of ways to overcome this as well as mist, rain etc all of which can affect transmissionIf a bird flies through the light the transmission is broken.
Maybe this could help neotel to put up those neoconnect towers faster without having to lay all that cable
Your point is blunt. Visible light forms part of the full spectrum of "waves"
It starts with infa-red on the one end of the spectrum and ends with microware ( i think ) on the other end of the spectrum

City of Cape Town has also been using light or should I rather say infra red to transmit data, was so unreliable we stopped using it.
We used to have a laser link between gardens and cape town CBD in 2004
Went to the toilet with the weather... and had to hide it when the telkom guys came around....
