10 Mbps ADSL upgrades start this weekend

ah crappy netgear doesn't give me that much info.. im connected using ADSL2+ in settings tab but can't find a status thing to confirm that it is

Going from 384 to 10000 is going to be redonkulous.

I can successfully connect via adsl2. Lets hope the tubes are in place to make it work.

The Billion 7300RA router at my Gardens, Cape Town office is set to Auto and says G.DMT

G.DMT is theoretically capable of 8 mbps... so there is a slight hope (in hell) that some of us might see 8 mbps.

atm mines on adsl 2+ auto-fallback will this change to adsl 2+ from G.DMT?

My Telkom router says ADSL2+ under status. My Netgear doesn't seem to give that information

The silence around the slower account upgrades is deafening. huh, did you hear that? yeah, the sound of nothing.

adsl2 can do up to 24Mbit/s.

I found this online to apparently set your router's protocol to ADSL2+ using telnet.http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/technical/3759993-gdmt-better-than-adsl2.html

Can anyone confirm this? Also, when I telnet to my router (10.0.0.2), it asks for a username and password (busybox) , but the normal ones don't work. Mega 105WR. Advise please!

If your router supports "Auto Sync Up" for the ADSL state... make sure that is enabled.... and then it will sync you up to ADSL2+ if it is available.

When I saw "Fast" I lol'd. I'm on 384 kbps.

It's funny because before I updated my router firmware with a later version, it had the option of connecting via ADSL2+, but now that option is gone and it is going via G.DMT at 4096/640... Be jealous of my upload speed... Until yours gets upgraded of course.
