Why the hell would I want to pay that much for a Hyundai. The prices are high as expected but Hyundai has always been a "value for money/bargain" brand - the reason I bought an Elantra over the Focus ect. back in the day.

But if it is the same price.... wouldn't really consider it.

There was a huge surplus/supply of the G5 & G6 GTI & Polo GTI rims. After VW finally designed a new rim for the G7 GTI & 1.8T Polo GTI VW sold the excess of the old rims to Hyundai

yeah same with me but with the sister company, Kia. When I bought the Cerato it was a no brainer. To buy one now would mean you have no brain. Quite different.

Mazda is where the value is at the moment.

My opinion of hyundai is that while they are certainly a whole lot better than they used to be, their pricing seems to show that they think they have "arrived" at that premium segment when they haven't. It gets exponentially more difficult and look at how bmw, merc, audi/vw compete and have been competing for years. There are certain things you can change "overnight" but there are a lot of things that have been getting refined for ages now in that segment.

I'm hard up on Kia & Hyundai on the piss poor infotainment system as their latest cars are bloody expensive. If they were cheap & cheerful then one can be much more lenient.
