It is a very good system, scored pretty well in a recent infotainment systems comparative test. Looking at the prices of the new Astra it is the best deal in the segment.

I love the direction these cars have gone in. Having owned two Astra's and thoroughly enjoying them it is nice to see how grown up they have become. The reality is that I will have to wait many years before I can own the new K. It's been less than 18 months since I got the H so I guess 5 more years before I'll have the K.

Somehow I end up thinking those buying a new Astra K today are a breed apart from the Opel buyers of years before.

WTF when did they take that picture? I cycle past that spot every afternoon and I have never seen the best car produced by mankind there :)

Where those VW boys again.... :)

The K worked out very nicely for Opel, especially in Europe. With VW still seen by many in a negative way due to the whole dieselgate scandal all Opel needed to do was deliver a good alternative.

The new Astra is not a good alternative - it is the new benchmark.

VW boys will try to ignore that fact.

Really not bad for the "poverty spec" model. I actually quite like it. I didn't think it would look this good in base trim.

In SA you do get a lot on Essentia spec, otherwise it would not look favourable against the competition.
