I hear this more often than I used to a few years back.Huh, at least I still have a job - I`m happy
Probably why you didn't get an increase. You're happy to get poorer every year...Huh, at least I still have a job - I`m happy

I hear this more often than I used to a few years back.
I think companies are exploiting this sentiment. It's really not easy to just hop into another job with matching or even better pay. So be grateful for what you have, take it or leave it, basically.

Indeed. And this is all due to companies wanting to make more and more profit. No matter what they say their values are it all comes down to money. I have seen this a specially in JSE listed company's.
Exactly. If I were to go to any tech company now most one can expect is R20K. So rather about me complaining about no increase I`m just glad I have a job.
Will hear in April, expecting 18% to 23%..
Well done..!!New Job, about 30%
Completing my degree is what made this possible.![]()
Same!19%, got a new job.
Would of probably be around 7% if I stayed at current job.
Eish man.. been there.. the suspense is dreadful.. best of luck..Congrats to all with a prospect of getting a salary increase, I am sitting in suspense and at 12:00 tomorrow I will know whether I will still have a job.......They've scheduled feedback sessions from 9:00, 15 minutes per person. Out of the current 26 in our group, only 14 will still have a position.
