2019 Salary Increase

I'm quite shocked at how some Companies are offering like juuuuuust above inflation, it's crazy. (+-4.5%).
Singapore inflation is around 1.2% and the average increase is 3-8%.

Struggling economy, struggling business, struggling times :(

I will only find out in June (financial year end). Only missed one increase since 2012 and they are usually in the 6.5 - 7.25% range.

Inflation is 4.2% and we heard this morning we getting 5.2% across the board.
Im very happy
better than a kick in the nuts

I did make 12.5k by the shop where i did work but now i get 18k by the new work

Just declined an offer of an 18% increase.
Not going to spend 3 hours travelling to and fro, just for petrol to eat into what I'm currently earning.
This will leave me with less...

Take the job, get a bike. You'll spend less time in traffic less money on petrol and end up being better off.

Except, I won't be better off. The place is 110km away from home and petrol expenses will kill that increase.

One of the previous companies I was involved with was 89km's from home, 180km daily round trip. Will never do that again.
