This post makes me scared of accepting the newer deal which they sent via sms to me of 10gb+10gb for R199. Has anyone who took out this deal had a smooth billing experience?
Hi Ryan,
I would proceed with extreme caution. I took the deal, and since then TM have double-charged me for the past 5 months, and they are doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to resolve the issue.
My account for December should be R199.00, .. but, it's NOT ... it's R475.67. Since I received my December statement, I have been on the phone to TM almost daily, about getting this over-billing resolved. All they ever do, is log a case .. for which NOTHING EVER gets resolved. When you call them again, .. they tell you they case is resolved/closed. YET, NOTHING is resolved .. they just close the case. I still hoped it would be resolved by the 31st, .. but, I've just received an SMS to inform me that my account will be debited by R475.67 on the 31st of Dec. They currently owe me over R500 in credit. They've been billing me +- R400 per month since I renewed my contract. :wtf:
TM will owe me over R800 should that R475.67 debit order go through. :erm:
My attorney has advised me, that should that happen, .. TM will have committed fraud/theft (i.e. they are taking my money for something that I don't have) for the 4th time, and that I should commence with legal proceedings, and the matter be referred to the Consumer Council.
I have given TM 5 months in which to rectify their mistake, .. but, it is obvious that they are incapable of doing so.
Even the TM rep that frequents this forum has been blatantly ignoring my posts for help. The last time I heard from him, was on the 3rd of December, .. when he said he was awaiting feedback from the Billing Dept. Since then .. nothing .. no feedback at all. :wtf:
So Ryan, .. up to you. You can take a chance and hope that they get it right, .. but, if they don't .. well, welcome to my world. A world where TM bill you as much as they want, for things you don't have, nor requested .. and not a single competent person, out of over 50 agents/supervisors/managers that I have spoken to ... that can fix/rectify THEIR mistake.
Cheers
Tom
