This post makes me scared of accepting the newer deal which they sent via sms to me of 10gb+10gb for R199. Has anyone who took out this deal had a smooth billing experience?

I would much rather spend that extra money towards getting an uncapped ADSL data package.

From the first day I took out this contract in August 2011, I have not had a single billing issue. It has also been running smoothly since upgrading me to the 10+10 promo. R199 goes off my account as it always did. Last month I received an extra 1Gig of data free. I am seriously impressed by Telkom Mobile :D :D

Well, my account has been debited with the wrong amount AGAIN, R299.00 instead of R199.00 !

I PM'ed TM and await her response. I realy hope they can sort this out, as TM's internet service in itself is good.

If Telkom Mobile don't sort this out I shall consider the way forward.

Thank you TM. A lady contacted me and said the debit order has been rectified and everything should be fine now. I was told that my acount has been credited and my next payment of R199.00 is only due end of February 2014. I hope for the best.

I'm currently on this plan but using it in a regular 3G device. Does the plan support LTE or do I need to upgrade to a specific LTE contract?

In other words, if I buy an LTE USB modem would I get LTE speeds (assuming I have coverage)?

Hi Carnajo

All our SIM cards are LTE enabled. You can use the service if you have a device that supports LTE and works on the 2300MHz frequency band and also falls within LTE covered area. You can access the following link to confirm if you fall within an LTE coverage area: http://www.telkommobile.co.za/coverage/lte/

The below are some of the LTE devices available on our network:
- Huawei E3276 LTE USB modem, Huawei E5776 LTE Mi-Fi and the Huawei B593 router.

Thanx for the positive feedback. I might just continue with this newer deal from Telkom Mobile but at a later stage when I have finally upgraded my aging home laptop from 2006.

Can we still sign-up for this deal? My current 10Gb (Ipad) contract expires end of the month and don't see any attractive upgrade offers on devices atm.

Is this deal only for contract customers? Don't you have a month to month option for customers who have been using 8ta for the past two years but are not on contract.

From what i was told that you could just keep on your old contract and get 10gig then it is month to month

That would be nice as I'm not interested in getting a new sim and doing the whole rica thing all over again.
