3G a priority for next Ubuntu

It's about time. Last time I still had to hack away at wvdail config files and look up init strings in order to get my buddies 3G connection up and running.

Although "faster boot times"? Mine boots in under a minute fully loaded - but, better is greater!
 
Can't wait for Ibex. Just that I reckon Hardy sounds better... :|
I really can't wait for the mind blowing, M$-beating OO3...
 
Ibex is gonna be cool, although I dont know if I will upgrade, I just got my Hardy perfect...:P

OO3 is mindblowing....running a beta at the moment, cant say enough good things about it!
 
Cool they now going to support something that Mandriva has supported for the last year :p sorry had to have a dig (3g not the boot time)
 
Now if only they'd make connecting to and sync'ing with M$-mobile devices easier...

Really? I'm also running OOo3 beta, and I'm not so impressed. I installed it 'cos I wanted to see how it worked with .docx and the few docx files that I tried didn't look so good. They opened, but the formatting appeared scrambled. Admitably, that's a lot better than anything else can do, but I hope that that improves. (Actually, I hope that docx FOADs, but more realistically, I hope that OOo3 can work with them.)

Same problem but sound works out the box with Opensuse and Mandriva I have tried tons of fixes but cant get it to work also have problems with my External Monitor with my laptop and kbuntu :(

I tried Opensuse 11.0 today and still not sound :(. So my hardware might be buggy [sound works fine on Vista though].

I'll try out Fedora Core 9.0 tomorrow.
