3GB mobile data for R100, but for students only

Shweet. Telkom Mobile is adding 3GB nite time data as well.
6GB per month for R100? Yes thank you.
 
They dont give indication which tablets are on offer.
 
Unlimited WiFi at Telkom hotspots as well. Though who the heck goes to Maxis??
 
This offer clearly shows that, it is possible for cell phone companies to sell us (general public) 1GB of data for R25 or less and on prepaid nogal.
 
So 18GB @ R600 / 6 months. = R33.3 per 1GB.

8ta/Telkom already has a 60GB (+ 60GB night data from 11-5 iirc) package @ R1800 / 12 months. = R30 per 1GB excluding the 60GB night data. - The down side here is that you need to manage your monthly usage to make sure it will last 1 year, I have done so in the past.

IMO not better then the current package.

/Obviously its a pretty good deal if you dont have Telkom Mobile coverage.
