403 errors from lots of sites

I'm getting 403 messages from several sites. Exact error:
Forbidden
You were denied access because:

Access denied by access control policy.

Some examples:
www.cnn.com
world.waze.com
www.bbc.com
Facebook photo domains

Using IS local-only and Telkom shaped with split routing.

When I go through an international proxy that I have the sites are working fine.

See that it is possibly some kind of Akamai issue? (Or transparent proxy)

Anyone else getting this?
 
Seem to be getting it on all international HTTP traffic, so transparent proxy is my guess...

Anyone else on Telkom / SIAX having this problem / not having it?
 
change your proxy settings to the saix cache to avoid the transparent proxy.

dsl-cache.saix.net:8080 or cache.saix.net:8080 or 165.228.129.10:3128

Won't work with my split routing if I don't add manual routes to it.... (since it is a local IP it will try to route it over IS, which won't work...)
 
I am having the same. I am with lantic, I phoned their tech dept, and while I was on the line with the stumped techie, he said another call came in with exactly the same issue. I sent seme screenies to his email for him to take up with HIS tech support.

Basicaly, I can access email, and all SA sites, but no international sites. I can access my own international ftp sites via ftp client, but not through any browser on any of my PC's.

HTTPS should work as well..... Only HTTP seem to be affected, which is why I'm guessing transparent proxy...

https://www.eff.org/ is a nice test.

I might try manaully setting up the normal proxy tomorrow morning if it is still problematic
 
Forcing in the SAIX dsl-cache seem to be a valid workaround. It is quite hard to get working properly here, I have squid set up locally, and I don't have a way to easily select only international traffic to go through the dsl-cache....
