I'd blame connectivity or hardware rather than WhatsApp. I'm yet to encounter any problems.

I believe there was an outage Saturday night about two weeks ago, but that's the only issues I've ever had.

Strange how people now find fault and want to abandon WhatsApp now that Facebook has acquired it. LOL.

There's a very nice security feature set on Telegram. If there's a login from another device you get a chat notification. One can then terminate all connections but your current device.
