8ta blocking access to google-public-dns-a.google.com

On the 7th Aug, telkom mobile (8ta) started blocking DNS access to
8.8.8.8 google-public-dns-a.google.com
and today also started blocking
8.8.4.4 google-public-dns-b.google.com

$ nslookup www.google.com 8.8.8.8
fails.

Does anyone know what's going on?
Is this DNS block related to the ad-block issue?

DNS queries using 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 works fine on MTN.

Please help!

Mine is broken as well? 8.8.8.8 has been on and off for some time though, but 8.8.4.4 has always previously been fine. It messes around with my android phone connected to the home wifi which uses 8ta 3g for interwebs.

I've been using openwrt router with 8ta sim.
I've previously relied on google's public DNS to confirm that the link was up, because
as you know The Google never goes down.
Seems 8ta does not want us to use a reliable DNS service.

I noticed sometimes google is the only website that loads and others don't load at all. Hopefully this has been resolved if it happens again I will do tracert/nslookup information. It didn\t bother me as much, sometimes I had to just restart the connection

I'm still looking for the reason for this stupidity from 8ta?? why block the best DNS servers in the world!!! ...those default saix DNS servers suck man
