8ta smtp settings

Hi, guys

I've checked previous forums, saw the thread with the smtp.saix.net info, which is my current setting, but since this morning, I can't send emails.

Have Telkom mailbox, using 8ta for internet, checked everything on my mailbox with Telkom, is all ok, but 8ta really sucks!!!

Called their technical line twice, held on listening to music for 5 and 10 minutes respectively, no pickup. Called a local store in Woodhill, spoke to Andries, and eisch, he says the smtp is smtp.life.com......tried it, doesn't work.

Does someone have alternative smtp settings for 8ta??????

What is your mail server for incoming mail? Threre is usually SMTP server for sending emails. Try this, but must select authentication option (login/pwd the same as for incoming mail).

Figured it out the other day, You IP address gets banned and you can't send emails, use smtp.saix.net. Disconnect and reconnect, you will be given a new IP and mail should send.....
