how does it flood the server if you arent connected to the hub?
 
Superglue/epoxy the connector into the switch. He will NEVER pull it out :)
 
cool, not a problem, construction should begin shortly as im getting all the material. once i have completed it i will send you the pics in a paint format, therefore the pics will be like 100k in size instead of several megs;)
 
i know two wrongs don't make a right but its funny how your bandwidth hogging is not seen as a problem in this given situation.

it seems neither of you want to understand what the concept of a shared resource is, in this case being your bandwidth . . . whether you guys are on good terms or not, you can still work out some sort of schedule without having to give each other a pat on the back.

how aware are your parents of the situation?

and let me reiterate, WoW is addictive . . . and addiction leads to all sorts of bad behaviour, im sure i don't have to spell this out to you

we would hate to hear that either of you guys got strangled with some cat5.
 
well i have tried limiting my bandwidth to half, but unless he gets full line he isnt happy, hell...he even unplugged my cable once when my pc wasnt even switched on and his excuse was ".........it was slow....he thought i was downloading"....so whether im downloading or not he still does it. i wake up in the morning....switch on my pc...and ow....wait...i dont have internet.....i wonder why...... that happened to me this morning, i was soo pissed off!!!!!!!
 
You guys need to sort this stuff out. You cannot live in constant conflict.

Get you parents to act as mediators.
 
my parents take his side, and also take note i have been offline the past 5 min cuz he did it again

Why not get your own connection ???
Then Block his port to WOW and be like BAM!!!

My Bro is the same, no reasoning. Worst of it is he has no tech knowledge at all. I just ignore him and if he pisses me off I just block his IP in the router.
Simple really.
 
MY brother is the same, at least he hasn't pulled out my cable yet, but still we sort it out. well actually my parents MAKE us sort it out!!
 
Im 22 ( Almost ) I think I'm past the stage of asking them to intervene hehe.
We haven't had a problem since we moved over to a 4meg line though.

Well we also have a pc room so its not as if we sit in our own rooms...

I guess i'd kill my brother if he pulls out my cable... and i know the feeling of everyone thinking you are downloading all the time...
 
im 21, i dont have a big enough salary to get my own line, and no...he is just an idiot....that simple, but i will make my box, and then give feedback after that
