I was wondering, seeing as though vodacom don't have exclusivity to the iphone 4 anymore and with the announcement that mtn will be selling them too. Do you think this healthy competition will bring down the price of the very expensive phone?

Do you have a source for that "announcement"? Something other than random speculation and assumptions?

Haven't heard any announcement myself but my GF works for a company that owns quite a few MTN franchise stores and they did receive a communication from MTN letting them know that they would be available around Septemberish iirc. She has also had a look and the iPhone4 is loaded on OMS, the system they use for doing apps and upgrades.

As to the original question... I really doubt it, at any stage MTN or VodaCom will be slightly cheaper than the other. It's like WWE, always scripted I reckon :P
