Ok. Here is the pic of the 'problem' area:
The power cable carrying the two sata power connectors are basically making a U shape (a very stiff one as well thanks to the plastic stuff around it) which is pushing the data sata cables around and also pushing the 24 pin power to the side a bit. This also prevents me from putting a third hdd underneath the first 2 because then the display card would be in the way of another 'U' loop
I'm thinking of getting some of these Connectx sata connectors which apparently you can just clamp onto the power cable or something.
The guy is using the same stuff in this vid to shorten the space between the connectors:
