ADSL Down in Bellville!

Yip I have. Waiting for the bad news :) . And also raised a ticket with Web Africa to address my line/ticket with Telkom but no feedback from that yet.
 
I'm in the Oakdale area and my line is also down. Trying to contact Telkom is a pain. Logged a fault about 2 weeks ago and still no reply from Telkom. Went to the Tygervalley Telkom shop and they could not assist me. Had to call the call center. It's frustrating and they expect their money at the end of the month. Bad service from H(T)elkom

now im wondering what's going on. think im near there. my line is still up and chugging along though.
 
I logged a complaint on HelloPeter because apparently this is what we have to go through to get any form of response.

Telkom actually got back fairly quick, almost immediately, so props to the social media rep from Telkom, doing supports job.

They informed me that some lines were damaged due to a burst water main. Herewith the response (it seems we are going to be down until the end of the month):

Good Morning

The feedback we have received is as follows :

100PR cables for 60m damaged by Cape Town City Council whilst repairing a burst water main.

The managers are trying their best to get it resolved as soon as possible, however they are currently awaiting stock from our suppliers.

Estimated completion date is ECD date for 28/04/2016.

Please note that a credit should be passed from the date the fault has been reported to the date it gets cleared off on the system as repaired.
