ADSL Filters?

You do realize you need one of these on EVERY phone right?

Putting it on just one phone when you have more than one it won't work and the line will drop every time.

I have two phones, hence two pics of filters - one for each phone.

Sounds like you have something else that is hogging the line.

Possible alarm system you don't know about? Or not using.

Don't have anything else connected to the phone line, no alarm system.

Willing to try - how do you do this? (modem is a D-Link DSL 2500)
From main menu - Advanced Setup > DSL Settings

DSL Settings.png

untick ADSL and ADSL2 then click on Save/Apply.

... no guarantees this will resolve the problem though, even if things do improve still best to get a techie on-site when you're there.

Thanks.

Techie is apparently coming through on the 25th Feb - fault was logged on the 9th Feb :(

He did come through. There was an extra extension which was in the house before we moved in.

That was disconnected. This did nothing to improve the line quality though.

I haven't yet managed to test if the line disconnects when the phone rings. Will do that tonight and update the thread.
