On Saturday the guy said he would follow up...nothing yet. I have to do the self installation by tomorrow (7 days to do it). I doubt I will be able to do the self verification. I am so fed up with this.

I also fear that as the days go on, everyone is just going to be on leave till January.

Well it is day 7. Guess I will have to end up paying Telkom R730 to "install" ADSL for me. Sigh.
I wish people would just do their jobs.

Techs get assigned to my case...then it gets delayed..then I get a new tech...then it gets delayed...

log another fault. nag them till sorted issue. Telkom sometimes can take a day next time could take 2-3months so keep on trying

thats what happens when your country's service delivery is ****Y...

what else can we do? till another ISP/ Line provider walks in and competes against Telkom nothing will be urgent for them.

Who and what department do I speak to, to get the verification reset?

I went to a Telkom Shop to verify ..in 30min i was up and running

How does that work? I thought the verification process has to be able to talk to the modem? Either way, not like I can even do that. Zero sync.
