Hi - Does any bright spark know of how you can / website you can query to find out who provides your ADSL ?

If its not Telkom, they wont cancel your line until the ADSL service is terminated. Only thing is, if you (or your idiotic customer ) has forgotten who they subscribed to (not Afrihost or MWEB checked that already) you get stuck

According to Telkom "the telephone line ADSL subscription was a wholesale order" and that you should contact your wholesaler - they wont tell you who it is though

Any ideas gurus ?

perhaps the dsl account login name on the router will give you a clue... unless said user changed it in the meantime...

The external IP address might also point you in a direction that may help.

Maybe I was unclear - its not the ISP its the ADSL providor - for example, you can have a Telkom line, with Afrihost providing ADSL and use MWEB as your ISP

So the ADSL username / External IP will be the MWEB in the above example, not Afrihost

1. login on the router
2. invoices that are sent each month
3. whomever the person is paying monthly for the service!?!?!?!?

Then you will have to try find a paper trail, as usually the company that provides your ISP services is the one with the ADSL, or Telkom, not a lot of people move the line to another company then move ADSL. I'd try ask Telkom who manages the line, or try TelkomZA to see if they can assist you

Best bet is to ask your client to check their bank account and tell you who they are paying.
