They are pushing ADSL to its maximum of 8mbps. They are still starting to roll out ADSL2+ equipment. It was pretty obvious from the article.
If this means Telkom will be bumping 384k people to 512k+, 512k to 4Mb, 4Mb to 8Mb+ and staying at the same price for 2008/09, I'd be happy.
at 800kB/s you could get capped in little over an hour.
luckily for us our international speeds are crap (at least, the Telkom stuff), so it might last you a whole day of heavy surfing and youtubing.
