Advice picking a new car

Which would become 2nd hand the moment you drive it off the floor (depreciation). But hey - just throwing things out there.

Other options are a Mazda 2 demo, Ford Fiesta demo, maybe the Opel Corsa demo. My first thought was actually a 2nd hand Audi A1, probably 2011 model with approx 50k on the clock.

Any recommendations / suggestions or things to note on these vehicles would be appreciated!

Then go for it. My personal opinion has always been that, at the end of the day, there are a lot of good cars out there - so then the one you buy is the one your heart/mind wants.

I'd recommend looking at what is available a a demo while you're at it before buying a new one
 
Go test drive the Suzuki Swift as well. Not a lot around, so very small theft risk, and they drive like a go kart. You can get a brand new 1.4 with 3year service plan for your money, or see if you can negotiate the price on a higher level demo model. My money - I'd be looking at a Jimny though, they are awesome little off roaders, so you get more stuff you can do with the car.

Ya thanks I was considering it. My only concept is that I pay for extras I don't want and then end up having to pay more for the extras that I do want. I'm also a little concerned with where these extras would be fitted and how much they'd need to strip to install the extras I want

Also with regards to the maintenance plan, if the car has 5000km on the clock I'll still pay the same for the maintenance plan but in effect loose those kms.

I'll definitely give it a shot. I don't love the look of the car but I might as well give it a try

Suzuki Bryanston currently has demo Jimny with 1500km for R220 000. Checks all your boxes and you can play with it over weekends as well.

When you buy a demo you take it as it is - there's normally no possibility of changing extras beyond the scope of aftermarket fitments, like tinting and such, and maybe a radio swap.
