Advice picking a new car

According to the brochure, the Jimny comes with:
SUZUKI COMPLETE
3yr / 100 000 km manufacturer’s warranty
6yr / unlimited km perforation warranty
3yr / unlimited km AA roadside assistance
4yr / 60 000 km service plan

So the demo is a 2016 model, that should all still apply. Confirm it if you should go there, but it seems like it.

Funny you mention this, I just spoke to a VW who has a black up, 7 000km for R160k. It has some extras but not all of the ones that I want. Also the guy says that if I want Bluetooth fitted it wouldn't be a factory fitted one.

I calculated the cost of a new up with all the extras that I want and it comes up to R168 500. So if I'm honest it's a no brainer to get exactly what I want for R8 500 more

PS the above prices don't include the maintenance plan

They're sneaky bcz a service plan is completely different from a maintenance plan. From what I've seen a 5yr / 100 000 km maintenance plan usually costs R20k - R25k extra

The Jimny benefits from a 4yr / 60 000km service plan. This plan includes the replacement of oil, the oil filter,
fuel filter, brake fluid, air filter and accessory belts, but excludes tyres, brakes and other wear-and-tear items.

Brakes and shocks won't need to be reaplced anytime soon, so if you put away the money that you would've spent on that - to 20 to 25k - for when you need it, you'll save money. As shocks, brakes, wipers etc doesn't cost nearly that much.

In that case, definitely buy new!

I second the Jimny - I love them!
 
I took the up for another test drive this afternoon there were 3 of us in the car this time (220kg) vs two of us in yesterday's test drive (130kg). This extra weight made a huge impact on the performance of the vehicle. It caught me by surprise actually and I was quite disappointed. But that being said the additional person was 100kg which is basically 10% of the vehicle's weight.

Just to cover all bases I'm going to try have a look at the Kia Picanto ex tomorrow (a little more power) and see what I think of it.
 
I didnt follow the thread must ot be brand new? Can it be demo or slightly used?
