Nobody is playing tonight ...was about to cancel my Afrihost account with the crap speeds im getting with MTN ...but Telkom is just as crap ??? :mad:

Same here, very weird. Ping to Joburg is already bad, like 40ms or so ... and ping to CT is even worserer.

Exactly.

So Afrihost, who have been on a mission to discredit Telkom since they were allowed to begin managing ADSL lines for their customers, somehow thought that they could move what I can only imagine must be tens of thousands of user IP's in a single switch over? What they do seem to have a lot of (apart from planning sensibility) are shills on this forum.

I'm glad that I am back online, but I really could have done with some better communication from them this morning. I've never been happy with AH customer service. And that feeling goes back almost 10 years ago when they used to host my websites for me.
 
And I can honestly say that I always have received brilliant service from Telkom
 
Nothing's better for me. Upload speeds still suck and nobody can explain why. I'm beginning to think my router might be at fault? Telkom have been out here, can't find a problem. Afrihost can't find a problem...

 
thought this was meant to be resolved by midday .... seems to still be a problem as I just got home and speed was terrible ...barely even 10kbs ... but was fine once I changed to afrigamer ....
so if that change makes it work .. surely they can just route all normal accounts to point to afrigamer?

Afrigamer is still running on IS, so we won't be be able to keep it going. We've kept accounts for clients who are still not connected on their MTN accounts. Would be best to DM me so I can look into this for you.
 
Anyone having speed issues with Apple services? I'm trying to update iOS apps and its taking forever.
 
Yes logged into Afrihost Adsl account....but my line speed has now dropped by 30%!!!, rebooted couple of times....are you guys now shaping and throttling my line??? ever since I moved adsl line over to Afrihost????
