NNTP Traffic still in the toilet. (both Astraweb and Afrihost news servers).

Speedtest also showing 3mbps on a 20mbps line.

Testing with mweb no issues.

Will you update us when your team have completed the work to make use of the new capacity?

The capacity has only very recently been implemented. We need to run a few tweaks and optimise it the additional upgrades. It'll improve.

Degrade to the point of being completely unusable, but I think we've discussed this at length previously :)
As per the upgrade, we're moving forward with things and improvements should be seen soon.

Last question... Are you proud of the service the company has been delivering over the last couple of weeks? Has that been discussed at length? You service is far from decent, but hey, thats been discussed at length as well :)

I'm sorry to hear you feel that way, I think everyone at Afrihost has done their absolute best, and made the best out of the situation.
We all know things haven't been great, but we've learnt a lot and ready to move on :)

Yes your customers also learned a lot and yes we are also ready to move on. If we look back at the history of this mess I think you would agree that you did NOT do your best. Blaming IOS 8 was pathetic. It took AH how long exactly to fix capacity issues?

If you look at the bigger picture, an IPC upgrade within a month is pretty amazing.

Especially if you take into account that you denied that that is the problem for 3 for the 4 weeks. And its not done yet, and I for one saw decent speeds only twice this month.

I had some issues about 2 days ago, but I have actua;lly been seeing really good download speeds for the past 24 hours.. I hope it stays this way cos I plan on signing up for an uncapped 10mbps line with AH for november to see how that goes, its either that or CW on their 10Mbps line

Great to hear, thanks for keeping us posted :D

For all my bitching. It has been less than the original 10 days hope expressed.

I am back up to line speed. If it stays like this I will be very impressed and cancel my cancellation.

Cool beans, glad you're happy.

6:00 PM came and back to 5% of line speed.

It seems to swing around ...

I know that at times, I get great speeds, other times half speed.

Shame on me, I sent a mail thru to support yesterday.
The guy started his nonsense about IPC and and and ... but knowing that the East was sorted and that I can get full sped i kindly told him he was talking ''bulls#1t'' :o and suggested he take another look.

I am hoping that the erratic speeds are indication of things coming right.

My line seems to be running oke at the moment. P2P at full speed and all other services returning the same results. Hoping it will stay like this now. Thanks guys
