Got excited about decent speeds and then it just went downhill from there.

Gaming performance is still dismal. 1000+ ping in Diablo 3 and still seeing packet loss on the pathpings, although the packets now seem to reach more hops.

From which region are you currently connecting? Could you perhaps send me a PM with your ADSL username so that I can look into this for you.

KZN (East) has been great the last few days, downloads are flying again, Hope you guys in North and South are sorted soon.... :D

That is great to hear! The North should be steadily improving now that the IPC upgrade is in place. The South IPC upgrade is still pending, but we should see it completed soon as well.

From the South. I have work to do today so can't mess around with my connection. Have already had 3 line resets done this week.

Cancellation submitted... and we're on a proper business ADSL account now!

Full line speed and no more of the optimisation rubbish. Sorry Afrihost.

Full line speed and no more of the optimisation rubbish. Sorry Afrihost.

I truly am disappointed that we couldn't provide you with the service that you needed from us, I hope you receive the experience you need from your new Service Provider. :(

Well I found my speed was below half what it should be
This after not one but TWO times asking support to sort it out.

This morning I did my own leg work, and logged onto SAIX to find its a line issue .... my line with AH.

Now, I have NO connectivity ... ( albeit AH have confirmed the line fault )

Promise I wont complain ever again :)

At this point half speed is better than no speed.

Line problems can be tricky to pick-up and resolve, especially mixed in with the bandwidth issues that we have been experiencing.

Could you perhaps PM me your ADSL line number so that I can check if I can't perhaps escalate this to our Service Manager at Telkom.

We struggling down here people.. Youtube is slow and downloads is not consistant.

I'm sure the upgrades for the South will happen soon.

AfriGuy are your Techies still tweaking Durban?
My latency went from an average of 26ms to 16ms in the last hour, seems to be getting better?

Any reason the NNTP is still not performing - speedtest shows full speed - other things seem fine.

Yes, both the North & East are still being optimised.
Sounds like things are getting better though :)
