Speeds have gotten even slower today again. Have emailed critical care about why my capped account is faster than my business account but now business account gotten even slower today

These results are terrible

Have you tested another account to see if the speeds are replicated? The latency to the exchange looks pretty erratic.

1GB looks pretty much the same. I think it might be the local exchange considering the erratic pings to it, though am not sure (and usually that isn't the problem). Definitely not better on the capped account, though.

It could be, the pings look quite erratic on the exchange.
Drop me a PM, lets try a port reset and see if this improves anything.

When you call 10210 Telkom state that there are problems on their network nation wide. TM is down here. and ADSL is dog slow across all ISP's. Friend in PMB says its the same there by him.

Hhhmm, can't see anything listed on their noticeboard. Is it just the ISP portion or their physical infrastructure?
Can't spot any anomalies on our monitoring.

Problems on the ME Network, from what I understand.

I can use any ISP Mweb, Afrihost, IS, etc and I get high latency, high packet loss and low speeds.

Telkom Mobile's Home Network is dead in the water, Cell C died an hour ago and MTN 3G is intermittent.

Just an observation....

Very odd.
Can't comment around other providers, but MTN 3G shouldn't be affected. It's an entirely different network.

Wonder if a select few BRAS are taking strain? I'll keep an ear out for any updates from our end.

All the cell networks here use Telkom for Backhual.

When the Fiber Optic breaks coming into town all the ATM's, Cell Network's (TM, MTN, Cell C & Vodacom) including ADSL and Telkom Land-lines all go down here together, it's like a black hole.... we have no redundancy here on our exchange, as that cable was stolen years ago....

Afrihost should be ashamed, continual promises, and nothing ever gets better.

Your latency jumped a lot there, can you quickly run a traceroute, I just want to see where that latency jump is occurring.

A sessions is an active connection between your modem and our radius servers, these should usually only last around 24 hours, yours was sitting at 50 hours.

That definitely looks like it is a line issue, does this keep happening at the same time of day? It could very well be congestion or line damage even.

I have already contacted Telkom, they claim there are no issues, Afrihost manages my line. Speed drops do not seem time related. Telkom also claim my exchange is not congested. My test accounts have run out but when Afrihsot is in the ****ter they work 100%, as as we all know its an Afrihost issue, that has been on going for almsot 6 months now.

Could the issue be weather related? It could be a network issue, but everything is running quite smoothly at this moment, and I am hesitate to just blame the network at this point.
