Another question, when I downgrade will it unbundle my line and keep it with you? Don't want it to get cancelled by accident.

It will unbundle the line and data, but it'll re-bundle once the downgrade has been completed. Unless you specifically hit cancel it won't move from us :)

I pressed cancel on all my accounts earlier last month
The line is STILL pending cancellation (and move back to Telkom)
Why the delay ?

Dear *******

We trust that you are well!

Please note that your account 039-315-**** that was on a ADSL has been put into a cancellation pending state.
Please note, we do require a 30-day notice period before any cancellation is processed. All line cancellations will be processed at the end of the month.
Afrihost will not be held liable for any cancellation, that is requested incorrectly.

Please note, that Telkom will bill you from the time the ADSL line is migrated back to them.
Your line will be migrated back to Telkom (ADSL line kept active)

While we sincerely regret losing you as a client we do wish you all of the absolute best for the future!

The Afrihost Team

The process usually takes 2 weeks to complete, unless you opted to cancel at the end of the month?
Drop me a PM with the line number and I can check the progress though. Even if it hasn't moved back, we wouldn't have billed you for the line.

Remember, there's also no downtime involved in moving the line back to Telkom.

Disconnect.
Reconnect.

Fix your ****ing **** NOW. I gave you the benefit of the doubt by cancelling my cancellation, then I come back from camping and I can't do **** all.

An ISP cant physically de-sync your line, thats telkoms fault. But can get disconnected due to a authentication server error, but thats a widespread problem.

I cancelled my account at the end of October and today is the 1st of December and my line is still being held hostage at AH :( Been paying for a 4mb business account for months and last month the best speed /sync rate on my account was 2mb -.-

The guys at Telkom said my exchange LynnwoodGlen can handle up to 40mb connections so at this stage I just want my line to be freed pretty pretty please??

Estimated waiting time at the AH call centres is 10min (Aint got time for that) no one replies to my support emails either. AfriGuy and AfriMan were and are the only people who I have every received great service from. Please help me.

Would you mind quickly sending me a PM with your ADSL line number so that I can look into this for you.

Got it! -E

If AH were as good as their MyBB team... Life would be great! Thanks for the info

Just in case anyone else wants to know, On the day of the line transfer from an ISP to Telkom (at the beginning of the month usually) It takes another 24 to 48 hours to complete.

Did that, then line lost sync, when it reconnected no internet light, router restart cured it as usual. What is this?

Bit of a cock up my side trying to do the switch to the capped, long story short your system now wants to prorata me for a Business Uncapped AND a 75GB capped for this month which I've already paid for. Plse make sure it doesn't happen, however the mobile charge is correct.

Apologies for the confusion I was fiddling;)
