Can't remember the exact error, but it was along the lines of being unable to connect to the server.
The only thing I can think of is a restriction from their end, not 100% though

Do you have a traceroute that you can paste here when you notice the speeds drop and latency increase?

Sigh. Here we go a****inggain.
Speedtest shows pretty close to normal, yet torrents cannot even connect to seeds, and HTTP is throttled to unusable:

So, tell me the truth. Are you guys throttling downloads on Business Uncapped now? Something is seriously wrong. It's been like this since Monday, thus not an intermittent issue as I was hoping.
You guys have my details from the numerous times prior to today - please investigate. I don't need any excuses any more. Just fix it.
This forum is full of my tracerts, and critical care have them as well, sadly it never improves my speeds or fixes my issues
Here we go... here's a test for ya!
Speed tests are normal, traces "appear" normal, but this is what I get:
Zertop's "Is it my Line" Results
Basic Report:
Your packet loss was 86 percent.
Your average ping was 8ms.
Your maximum ping was 8ms.
You have serious packet loss. Please post these results to the forum for advice.

Major packet loss since this morning. I have rebooted at least once an hour since 09:30 (note the time, this is the same time that everything has been going to c**p for the last 3 months).

Our monitoring systems aren't picking up and general issues on the network, is packet loss an issue on other accounts too?
Something I have noticed of late is that it feels like there is no QoS on the network. Things sort of just take full priority over the connection. For example, if I watch a YouTube video while logging in/loading League of Legends, the game says my internet has disconnected -- YouTube is using 100%, leaving League with nothing. Or another: I can barely load webpages if I have a YouTube tab and a download open. I'd think that the webpages would take priority?
Is this a thing or is my router/OS doing something retarded?
Thanks![]()
Nope, it is definitely an AH problem.... I cannot do more than one thing at a time lately. Last year this time, I was able to download at full speed, while watching youtube at 720p, and then browse - with no issues at all.
Just had a look at my inbox, the last chat we had via PM was around a Telkom fault in the area.
Have you tested another account to see if the speeds here are replicated?
I'm sure our Critical Care team will work towards a resolution with you on this.
Some services can contend, it's the nature of any network.
Your packet loss is concerning though, please drop our team a mail with some results - I'll gladly escalate this from there.

It's a classic case of shaping traffic if you want my opinion.
Do you want me to open a ticket and then post the ref?
Also, I noticed that there is no option in ClientZone to reset, or recreate ports anymore. When did that happen?
Business accounts aren't shaped.
Have you made sure that Business Optimisation is disabled?
OK it was enabled. Who enabled it? Sure as hell wasn't me.
Seems it was enabled at the beginning of December, which correlates with me starting to experience this on Monday.
So, who would do a thing like that?
Yes please.
Around resetting the line - Telkoms system seemed to have changed the other day, I think our team are falling in line with the changes and updating the ClientZone accordingly.
