Extra test results are always appreciated, but I'm pretty sure the results on Web Africa will mirror the traceroutes on our account.

Looks like your exchange bud. Ouch.

Either have Afrihost raise a fault or log one yourself with Telkom asking them to address the congested/broken exchange.

Really??? When are you going to fix my Business Account???

This is what I get when Business Optimization is Deactivated

And this is what I get when Business Optimization is Activated

+70% Packet Loss is a Big Fault!!! Every day I can't do my work!
I can't use your Business Optimization Activated mode, cause then you shape every protocol that I need to work with.
Plus, I'm paying for Business Unshaped Account and getting getting +70% Packet Loss.
The past 2 days you have done nothing to fix my Account, just replying to give me hope..
There was nothing wrong with my account a week ago. Then I notice the Packet Loss and gave Afihost some time before reporting.
But sins I reported and did all the test needed, there is NO improvement made to my Business Account.

I just wish Afrihost would manup and admit there are network issues. This reminds me of the issues Afrihost had last year, and for weeks things were deined, then eventually there was some official post. We were told we would be compensated for the slow speeds etc, nothing ever happened. We are now once again in a similar boat. Everything on my side is slow, local, international sites, take forever to load, twitter does not send tweets, emails take far longer to download. All this time we are expected to pay full price for a product that is not working as advertised.

Ok seriously, this is getting to much now. Trying to download GTA from Rockstar social club, on my Web Africa trial account it hits 980KB/s on Afrihost most of the time it says connection to download server lost, if I'm lucky it downloads at 20KB/s. Really thinking of cancelling my account. Will also not be recommending Afrihost to anyone anymore.

If the service isn't working, cancel and move on. You know from experience how many months of frustration it takes before it gets fixed.

And then the cycle just repeats itself.

Cancelling is an option, but companies should be held accountable, they offer a service and cant provide it, running away to a different ISP wont solve the issue, as all ISP's seem to eventually become the same. Poor service seems to be a thing South Africas very seldom complain about, we seem to be far too accepting, this attitude needs to change.

Vote with your wallet. Only way you're going to hold a company accountable on a best-efforts service.

We don't have consumer protection, the only way to show your unhappiness is with your wallet like someone else said.

This has been going on for about a month again, so it will take another month or so for them to fix it or get IPC or whatever they need to do. There is just no urgency to fix anything (ie spend money) when your user base keeps paying every month for sub par service. You can make a heap of extra profit for those few extra weeks.

We did see some latency and possible packet loss last night. While the network is still seeing high demand during peak periods, last night did see an even higher spike in demand, especially in the South.

We're hoping that getting tighter control on P2P (for Uncapped accounts) will help us manage demand more efficiently over the next few days.
