I'm going to basically reset the entirety of the account itself, I want to see if there is perhaps something like the Business Optimization that has become stuck.

Thanks -- I'm anxiously waiting to see the result! I did turn the Business Optimization on and off in the CP the other day -- when it's on, NNTP throughput is literally 0 ...:(

Trust me, I am actively looking at other ISP's.

But the price difference between Afrihost and Mweb/Internet Solutions is utter madness!

Leaning towards Mweb at this point in time... I have until the 25th to decide in any case....

I'm also investigating other options. Someone should start an "Afrihost refugees" thread where people can advise each other about feasible alternatives.

Tried NNTP over HTTPS? I don't do regular N2TP or P2P on my line, so I'm not a good litmus test on those. That said, I'm able to get full speed on anything I do happen to try..

Usage in the South is remaining more or less steady at the moment, so it is good to see the NNTP throughput increasing.
