And on moving on. It is a hell of a pain to move the line back to Telkom and then to an new ISP. But it seems that screwing clients are in the order of the day, so maybe time to jump ship...
Here is what one client said...
Wil graag hoor of jy dalk advies het.
Hoekom op aarde sal ons so sukkel? Dit kan nie die router wees nie kan dit? Afrihost het basies net ‘n oplossing nie so ek wil maar net hoor of jy weet van enigeiets wat ek nog kan doen om die fout te probeer opspoor.

Why would say it's a pain? You just tell AH to move it back to Telkom, and then to the ISP. But realistically keep your line with Telkom, you won't have to worry about that anymore. The R20 or so bucks you save a month isn't worth staying with an ISP.
And then back to this

Oh the joys....
Been complaining about this for weeks, sent PMs. nothing ever gets done. I think they just dont have capacity anymore, and probably are "glad" to lose a few customers.
Got a reply to my request about the slow speeds, and guess what -
They need more trace routes and more speed tests from the free 1GB account and the Telkom guest account as comparison.
I think it is very safe to say that there is absolutely no way that Afrihost will every give you any form of refund for slow speed, all you get is asked to provide more traces and more speed tests. Which have no point 4 days after you were experiencing the issues.
So AfriMan/AfriGuy/AfriGenie, when you say that people should log calls for experiencing issues don't forget to include that you are going to deal with AfriRunAround.

There is no way in HELL that I will be rsed around with more tracerts and the like.
AH have enough info on here and via support, so please lets no do the AfriRunAround.
I just dont need this .............VVVVVVVVVVVV every hour or so.

If its a Telkom issue - take it up with them.
I have no intention of taking back the line and being a hero .... this is your job for which I pay you.
Furthermore - at this point, I also have no intention of finding an alternate ISP.
AH can deliver good service and this time should be no exception,
Just dont ask me to do more tracerts and ballet, you have the data you need, and a ticket and a customer.......

Pls do same trace from another isp account. Hop 1 figures are WAY too high - could be exchange related.
