Surely MTN has a SLA in place with Telkom? It is not like I have a line fault, rather a bulk fault. As it would make no difference if I was connected to a different DP I would still encounter the same fault...

We've logged one case with both MTN and Telkom, so we're waiting to hear back as to how it can be resolved :(

Remember that it's hard to know if the seeds are throttled or limited their uploads. I know in general we've seen some sucky P2P performance, but it's also not always a definitive indicator.

Ive been torrenting for quite some time now, ive rarely seen my speeds this low, only if the torrent has like 2 seeds.

No way all 32 seeds are throttling.

:(

That is very strange, can I quickly send you a test account, I just need to see what sort of P2P speeds you get on that.

Only now its downloading at full speed, with 12 seeds.

And this one seed is giving me full speed.

To explain my issue - same as what you are seeing - torrents die, but add general browsing to that.
And then, as quick as they died, so they come back to life ....

I am sure there is more to these issues than constipated exchanges and silly Telkom stuff, but then again, I am not an IT guy .....

Everything is fine, just p2p is struggling.

Issues like that can be difficult to identify. It'll depend on what time of day your connection speeds drop out, and how often this happens. From my side, I can still see that your ADSL line sync itself is way off of what it should be. Telkom seems to have closed the fault from their end though... Have you received any feedback from them?

Seriously?

Perfectly describes it!

On the bright side... At least Telkom and MTN Business now know exactly what the issue is... They just need to lock you to the alternate routing.

I am guessing this needs approval first? (which could take days)

Also I hope this fixes it for who ever else it connected to the same IMAX as me?

I don't think so, they had already changed the routing, but they used the incorrect route, they just need to swop it quickly.

Well what ever they are doing is not working, latency is going one way and that is up, almost at 300ms and seeing packet loss now..

No.

If you recall, the Telkom guy suggested I buy a new router?

Having said that, for a few days, the line was great ... then we went to back to the issue we now discuss.
Equally, the tracert tests were asked for by Afrihost, hence the results you see here.
